About

About BinDay

BinDay helps Irish households remember bin night, sort waste correctly, and track Re-Turn deposits - without ads or clutter.

What BinDay does

  • Free night-before reminders after you confirm your collection day
  • Local collection guides and links to private waste providers across Ireland
  • Premium AI waste scanner and coach for Irish recycling questions
  • Re-Turn deposit voucher tracking and machine lookup

Built in Ireland

BinDay is built by John Fox for Irish households. It is an independent app, not a waste collector, local authority or the operator of Ireland's Re-turn scheme.

Where our information comes from

Household collection days depend on your provider and route. Our provider guides link to official calendars and customer portals. An area guide or Eircode match does not prove a collection date for your home. Check your provider's current calendar and confirm your day before relying on reminders. Bank holidays and route changes can affect collections.

Our recycling guide cites MyWaste and Re-turn guidance. The machine finder combines a curated store list, OpenStreetMap locations and community reports. It is not a live machine-status feed or a complete national directory; the official Re-turn locator is linked on that page.

AI answers are guidance and can be wrong. Follow the collector's instructions for your service and the linked official guidance for unusual or hazardous items. Our provider comparison shows indicative prices; confirm your address-specific quote with the provider.

Free tools and optional Premium

The public collection guides, recycling guide and machine finder are free. Household reminders are free after setup. Hosted AI scanning and coaching require Premium, with 30 image scans and 100 Coach answers per month. See Premium for current plans, daily limits and included features.
