Bulk deposit return machine locations

Bulk-feed machines let you pour in multiple eligible bottles and cans together. These 3 locations have published retailer or manufacturer evidence of bulk feed. This is a shortlist, not every bulk machine in Ireland.

Sources checked . Installation reports do not confirm that a machine is working, empty or accessible today. Check with the store before making a special trip.

  • Kelly’s Newcastle Service Station

Main Street, Newcastle, Co. Dublin, D22 RX75

TOMRA reports two R1 bulk-feed machines and one R2 at the station, alongside a single-feed T70. Its April 2026 case study describes the expanded installation in place by June 2025.

  • Lidl Maynooth

Straffan Road, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, W23 FV34

Lidl’s store-opening announcement confirms two deposit-return machines at Maynooth, including one high-capacity bulk feeder for returning multiple bottles and cans together.

  • Tesco Arklow Extra

Wexford Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow, Y14 NP59

Tesco announced a bulk-feed trial in the store’s car park on 17 July 2026. Customers can empty containers from bags into the unit; a separate single-feed machine is inside. Confirm the trial is still available before travelling.

Empty the containers out of the bag and follow the machine's instructions. Bring empty, undamaged PET drinks bottles and aluminium or steel drinks cans with the Re-turn logo; glass and the bag itself do not go into the machine. Redeem the voucher at the store that issued it. Re-turn's return rules.

Re-turn machine FAQ

Where is the nearest Re-turn machine near me?

Search BinDay's Re-turn machine list by town, county or Eircode. It covers about 250 supermarkets, shopping centres and convenience stores, and the page also shows machines mapped on OpenStreetMap. For the full, current list of return points, use the official Re-turn locator at re-turn.ie.

Does BinDay show whether a machine is working right now?

No. BinDay's store list is fixed data plus reports from BinDay users, and the map section uses OpenStreetMap data refreshed about once a day. Neither is a live feed from Re-turn or the retailer. Stores and machines change over time, so check the official Re-turn locator before travelling.

Where are bulk return machines near me?

Published bulk-feed locations include Kelly’s Newcastle Service Station in Co. Dublin, Lidl Maynooth in Co. Kildare, Tesco Arklow Extra in Co. Wicklow. BinDay links the retailer or manufacturer evidence and addresses on this page. This is a sourced shortlist, not a complete national list or a live availability feed. Tesco Arklow was announced as a trial; confirm with the store before travelling.

What can I return at a Re-turn machine?

Re-turn machines accept plastic bottles (PET) and aluminium or steel cans that display the Re-turn logo. Glass bottles, cartons, and containers without the Re-turn logo are not part of the scheme.

How much do I get back for returning bottles and cans?

Re-turn deposits are 15c for containers from 150ml up to and including 500ml, and 25c for containers over 500ml up to 3 litres. The machine gives you a voucher that you can redeem in the store.
