Christmas 2026 bin collection changes: quick answer
No provider on this page had published its Christmas and New Year 2026/27 collection dates when we checked on 27 October 2026. Each row below shows what the provider says in general, links its official page and gives the date we last checked. Greyhound's own pages disagree, so confirm with Greyhound.

Panda Christmas 2026/27

Panda has not published a Christmas 2026/27 schedule. Its FAQ says: “Generally collections will take place as normal on a bank holiday. Occasionally, around Christmas the collection day may change. Customers will be notified in advance and all collection reminders will reflect the change of collection.” It adds that if collections are going to change, customers are told by text or by a push notification on the app.

Greyhound Recycling Christmas 2026/27
Conflicting, checked 27 Oct 2026: confirm with Greyhound Recycling
Greyhound has not published 2026/27 dates, and its own pages disagree. Its Christmas page, dated 30 September 2026, says collections don’t run on Christmas Day or St. Stephen’s Day and are moved to an alternative day communicated in advance. An older page, dated 14 July 2025, says: “The only days we do not collect are Christmas Day & New Years Day.” BinDay has not chosen between them: confirm with Greyhound.

City Bin Co Christmas 2026/27

City Bin Co has not published a Christmas 2026/27 schedule. Its calendar FAQ says: “On bank holidays, we collect on the previous Saturday, but Christmas schedules may be altered for operational reasons, in which case we’ll always let customers know in advance.”

AES Recycling Christmas 2026/27

AES Recycling has not published a Christmas 2026 service update. Its help centre says: “If your collection falls on a bank holiday, we may carry out our collection service on the previous Saturday.” On 27 Oct 2026 the latest holiday post on its Service Updates page was its October bank holiday notice.

Clean Ireland Recycling Christmas 2026/27

Clean Ireland has not published a 2026/27 festive notice. Its FAQ says: “Yes, the only days we don’t collect are Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day. Any service disruption will be notified in advance.” Its offices are closed on bank holidays, Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day.

Oxigen Christmas 2026/27

Oxigen has not published a Christmas 2026/27 notice. The latest Christmas notice on its news page is from last season (2025/26) and does not apply to 2026/27. On 27 Oct 2026 its latest post was the October bank holiday notice.

How to confirm the collection day for your address
Festive changes can apply to some routes only. Use your own provider's calendar, account or message for your address:
- Panda: Log in to the Panda website or app to see your calendar, and watch for a text or app notification.
- Greyhound Recycling: Check the Greyhound app or your online account, where Greyhound says revised dates are published in advance of the holiday period.
- City Bin Co: Check your calendar in the City Bin Co Customer Portal or app, or contact home@citybin.com or 091 787800.
- AES Recycling: AES advises checking its Service Updates page and social media channels for your collection schedule.
- Clean Ireland Recycling: Check the 2026 calendars on Clean Ireland’s collection calendars page.
- Oxigen: Check your calendar in the My Oxigen portal, or call 0818 694 436.
If the calendar and a notice disagree, ask the provider before you put the bins out.

Will my bin be collected on Christmas Day 2026?
It depends on your provider. Clean Ireland's FAQ and both Greyhound pages say they do not collect on Christmas Day. See each provider's published Christmas 2026 status on this page, or confirm on your provider's official website or app.
Do bin collections change at New Year?
They can. None of the six providers on this page had published 2026/27 New Year dates when we checked on 27 Oct 2026. Greyhound's July 2025 page names New Year's Day as a day it does not collect, while its September 2026 page names Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day, so confirm with Greyhound. Check your provider's calendar or app before the holidays.
