What goes in each KeyGreen bin?
- Green or recycling bin: paper, cardboard packaging, cartons, junk mail, plastic bottles, soft plastics such as bread wrappers, cereal bags and bubble wrap, food tins, drinks cans and foil.
- Brown or food waste bin: food waste, egg shells, coffee grounds, and garden waste such as grass clippings and branches where your plan collects it.
- Glass: glass bottles and jars go to a bottle bank, not the green bin.
- Black or general waste bin: only what cannot be recycled, composted or brought to a bottle bank or recycling centre.
Drinks cans and plastic bottles with the Re-turn logo can instead go back to a Re-turn machine for your deposit.
